Gold and Mineral Exploration
The business over 3 years went from a basic one rig operation to a three rig operation with a full fleet of supporting vehicles and a base in Leonora. Ageus exited the business divesting to the management and other shareholders.
From this experience we gained a detailed understanding of the industry and built a network that could assist us with a direct entry into resources sector as explorers and project developers.
A highly suitable land package was identified in the Eastern Goldfields and this formed the basis for the ASX listing of Metaliko Resources Ltd. The enterprise was to focus on advanced exploration and early commercialisation of several of the projects. The expected revenue it was proposed would then fund the full exploration of the land package in a strategic program. In 2012 Ageus exited its position in Metaliko in 2012 when it was taken over.
We still have a passion for gold and minerals exploration and have been actively seeking new opportunities. Ageus has also been assisting other gold explorers wishing to develop their projects and businesses.
With respect to gold we are currently looking at a several small high grade mining opportunities in the Easter Goldfields of WA, where we are partnering with prospectors to develop their existing mining licenses.
Given our experience in Africa we are also investigating multiple projects in Ethiopia. Our areas of interest in this jurisdiction are, greenfield exploration in the north of the country in known gold production areas and a potash project in the eastern Ethiopia. This project is also located close to other large producers.
Last year we were involved as part of a team investigating a substantial lithium deposit and mining operation in southern Ethiopia.
